Finding a career that is aligned with your purpose can often be a difficult thing to do. For one, most people live their entire lives without even realizing what their purpose is, and two, even when they do realize their purpose, it might seem like it’s not the right moment to pursue it. But that’s the thing, our life is made up of these moments and we need to make every single one of them count. So in this post, I’m posing the question “Is your career aligned with your purpose?” and helping you to identify if what you’re doing right now aligns with what you were meant to be doing all along.

My very first job working in insurance had so many amazing benefits. I met fantastic people and was given a tremendous amount of responsibility for some of the largest accounts in the country. I was also incredibly miserable. There was no sense of work-life balance and I realized that my life was all about work. I was a burned out millennial. When you’re a young professional you might feel pressured to work your butt off to achieve that “New York life” like those other millennials you see on Instagram. I’m going to help you develop a better work life balance so you can still chase your dreams while taking better care of yourself.
What skills do you need as a woman to excel in any industry you choose? Do you need to be smarter than the average man? Are there special skills only some women possess? Since I was a little girl I’ve always wanted to make a name for myself and have the opportunity to dominate in any industry, career or field regardless of my gender. In today’s society, however, for every seven men succeeding in a “male-dominated industry,” there is one female.
The reason behind this has always been that men are inherently better than women when it comes to business and the ability to thrive in a wide number of fields. In my opinion, women can thrive in whatever industry they choose if they have the right kind of work skills and the correct mindset. In this post, I’m going to discuss the skills and the mindset you need to excel as a woman in a male-dominated industry and any industry you choose to enter.

I’m giving you a glimpse into the daily activities of some of the strongest, most influential women the world has ever known.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say that millennials are lazy and unwilling to work. As a millennial woman I can honestly say that’s not true. Within the workforce, some of the most hard-working, stressed out individuals are millennials. I honestly don’t think we get enough recognition for the amount of work we put in on a daily basis in an effort to chase our dreams. During the past 5 years, the number of millennials, especially millennial women, who have created a side business in addition to their main jobs has risen. This, in addition to working their regular 9 to 5 can cause many of us to burnout due to exhaustion, frustration and a host of other factors. Because I understand that the struggle is very real, in this post, I’m going to give you some much-needed advice on how to avoid burnout as a busy millennial woman!
